MEPOS / Orthopediatrics Travelling Fellowship

MEPOS and OrthoPediatrics are pleased to invite applications for a 10-day Fellowship in children’s orthopaedics in North America or Europe to support the professional development of surgeons in their first five years of consultant practice. Its aims are to enhance their practice, establish and strengthen links and collaboration with the UK and North America.

The successful applicant(s) would be able to visit up to two departments in the US and/or Canada. Centres to be visited will be determined by their main clinical interest(s). Attendance of formal training courses or meetings at any centre will not be funded.

Refundable airfares will be economy class and accommodation, food and transport within North America will be reimbursed at reasonable levels during the Fellowship. Dr Peter Armstrong and Mr Richard King of OrthoPediatrics will help to facilitate the visit with local hosts.

Full details, terms and conditions are available here. Applicants must be an active member of the MEPOS in good standing, have a substantial children’s practice and be able to show evidence of publications in children’s orthopaedics.

Application will be made by e-mailing a covering letter, CV and two referees (one must be a MEPOS member) to the Society (info@mepos.me)

The winner must complete their Fellowship within a year of granting the scholarship.
