We are thrilled to welcome you to the ICODE Graf Hip Sonography Course (2 Days) and the ICODE Annual Scientific Meeting (1 Day) in Dubai, hosted by Al Jalila Children’s University Hospital in collaboration with the Middle East Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (MEPOS).
Hip sonography is widely recognized as the primary screening tool for the early diagnosis and treatment of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). This highly accurate, non-invasive diagnostic method allows for early intervention when necessary, with the goal of completely resolving dysplasia. The Graf technique, which is the focus of this course, is the preferred scanning method in Central Europe and many other regions.
It is crucial that examiners using the Graf technique receive adequate training and strictly adhere to its principles. Research has shown that examinations conducted by inadequately trained personnel can lead to unnecessary interventions and treatments, making suboptimal performance unacceptable.
This course is designed to equip participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for successful hip sonography examinations. The course structure mirrors Graf’s courses offered elsewhere, featuring structured lectures, case demonstrations, and additional talks on the pathophysiology of dysplasia, screening policies, guidance, and treatment options. Practical training will include video presentations, phantom scanning, and live hands-on demonstrations.
Our faculty comprises experts in the field with extensive training experience from renowned hip sonography courses. These professionals come from clinical settings where numerous scans are performed daily.
